Building on last year’s successful workshop, this session considers some of the core fundamentals around responding to a cyber incident, encouraging a “when, not if” approach. The session will also consider some of our more recent investigations and present actionable insights into what we have observed.

Our expert staff will help you to understand the importance of data exfiltration and why you need to consider putting controls in place to prevent this from happening.

This workshop is aimed at senior management, DPOs and anyone working to protect organisation networks.

We will present the content in an accessible and easy to follow format, so is open to all regardless of technical knowledge.

It will cover elements of the regulations as well as key differences with the FOIA to help you comply with your obligations. You will also get to hear from the Scottish regulator on how freedom of information laws work in Scotland.

In this session we will talk about the motivations behind producing our transparency in health and social care guidance, published in April 2024, and some of its themes. We'll give you the chance to talk about your experiences in delivering transparency in your organisation.

The session will cover the practical steps set out in the guidance to assist you when developing and reviewing transparency information. We aim to provide you with greater regulatory certainty about transparency obligations in the context of health and social care.

We’re aiming this session at the health and social care sector. However, those working in other sectors may find it of interest as a broader indication of ICO expectations on transparency.
